Knusprige Süßkartoffel Wedges

Sweet potato wedges

A twist of the classic French fries… give sweet potato a try. We are sure it will became your favourite!


Yogurt sauce:
    • 1 Greek yogurt
    • 4 Garlic cloves
    • Dried thyme and black pepper


Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Peel the sweet potatoes, wash them and cut them into wedges. Keep in mind that the thicker the cut, the more cooking time they will need.

Add the sweet potato to a large bowl and add our True Spices Pommesgewüirzsalz... Be generous, the idea is that not a single piece is left uncoated. And then, set aside.

Cover a baking sheet with baking paper and add the seasoned sweet potato in a single layer.

Place in the oven with 4 garlic cloves (that you will use for the sauce) and bake for approximately 30 minutes, turning them over after the first 15 minutes, so they will brown on both sides.

Remove from the oven when they are well browned and crispy. They should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Let them rest for a few minutes before eating.

For the yogurt sauce… it’s easy!

After letting it cool, crush the baked garlic with a mortar and then mix it with the geek yogurt, thyme and pepper.
